Hagia Sophia The Hagia Sophia was the largest cathedral built at the time and was converted to a mosque by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet. It is considered to be the epitome of Byzantine (Eastern Roman) architecture by most scholars. The Ottomans removed much of the Orthodox iconography and replaced it with more Islamic imagery, however much of the church remained unchanged. The Hagia Sophia also holds the only remains of the Great Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, one of the original Seven Wonders of the world as described by Herodotus. There are columns of green marble that were salvaged from the temple and included in the church. Fun Facts Important? Why was the robot created? The robot Sophia was created to surpass human intelligence and to solve world problem that's to complex for humans to solve themselves. FYI Sophia was the first robot citizen. SHe was activated in April 2015 Info In October 2017, she became the first robot citizen in Saudi Arabia at the tech conference future investment initiative. In Mid-march 2016, In Austin, Texas Sophia made her first public appearance at south by southwest festival. She then made another appearance at the brainbar festival in budapest, hungary where she spoke about women issue, her own citizenship and other topic FUN FACT One of the things she addressed was about her gender, Sophia believes that a robot can have a gender and gender is mostly a social construction. she also mention that she has no gender. but she identify herself as feminine. People wonder if Sophia is conscious however she is not fully "self-aware yet. she is just a system of rules and behaviors. she is not generative, creative nor operation on a fully cognitive scale like us." How She works Sophia's AI Her responses differ depending on the interaction and she can adapt in conversatons. She is very perseptive, she can interperate your facial expressions, determain your mood, find ways to achive goals with you, and have emotional reactions to your responses. Sophia's AI Did you know Fun Facts Sophia has a "little sister" that you can buy for $150. She can actually sing! On the Tonight Show, she sang "Say Something" with Jimmy Fallon. Sophia is the first robot citizen of any country, she is a citizen of Saudi Arabia. More Facts Sophia is modeled after Audrey Hepburn. Sophia is designed in a way that she will get smarter over time from conversations with humans and other robots. In March of 2019, a self portait made by Sophia her self was made into an nft and sold for $688,888.
