Transcript: Because resources are limited. We only have one world. And there's only so much stuff on it. We have to re-use what we have, or we'll run out! And then what? Break it down... Re. Cycle. Send it through the cycle again! Use it again! Then you don't have to keep finding new material. It's good for the environment. And costs a lot less! There's a lot of value in our "trash!" What's going on in the schools? Rutherford County schools have already recycled over 15,000 pounds of metal! We've recycled over 4 tons! That's more than the weight of 6 adult elephants! Just toss it in the blue bins! Just throw it away! Recycle! Thank you! Look for the blue bins your classroom, cafeteria and hallways. aluminum soda cans tin cans from cafeterias over 60,000 pounds plastic bottles from vending machines Last school year, every public school in Rutherford County began recycling. It's easy! Cardboard Old homework and tests Newspapers, magazines, junk mail Art projects gone astray Notes (mostly about boys) Think about it... Metal Because there's no such place as "away." It's all reusable!
