Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one each other's screens. You don't need an account to join Zoom meetings, but you must sign up for an account if you plan on hosting, scheduling, and managing your own calls. features of "Zoom" WHAT Collaboration – Allows collaboration including chat, annotation, whiteboarding, and breakout rooms. Screen and application sharing – Presenters can share their whole desktop or individual applications. Dynamic voice detection – Primary camera view will automatically toggle to the active speaker. pros of "zoom" Pros Great tool for distance learning Has an affordable cost for schools and companies Allows for virtual interaction with people from all around the world lack of pop-up ads and advertising Easy to schedule an event and export to calendar then invite guests Lets the host mute people in the group as needed, but they don't have power to mute the moderator. Offers multiple interactive strategies for teachers such as assigning co-hosts, adding polls, dividing into breakout rooms for group work How does it help you organize your teaching & learning? Share screen to present projects, powerpoints, websites, videos. Provide students with an opportunity for practice and feedback using the Zoom polling feature. Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down: Sometimes a simple “if you’re with me, select the thumbs up button” can be a good way to ensure that students are following along. Use Zoom’s breakout room feature to facilitate discussion and collaborative work. When a question is asked, the teacher chooses which student should answer, at which point that student’s microphone is unmuted.
