Transcript: Connection: Kamryn: Having the support from a person or people creates an environment of security. They enable you the chance to relieve your body and mind of any troubling emotion. They may even introduce you to new methods of recovery and acceptance. Yet of course that person may never be forgotten and the loss may never be forgiven . Martin: Having someone there is always important but it is not always necessary sometimes being alone is more healthy and better for the healing process because sometimes you need an expert opinion on whats really going on and what better expert opinion than yours. In my opinion, I prefer to be alone during those times. Mikage and Yuichi preferred each other's company while they were mourning from a great loss. They also tended to bond while they cheered each other up with cooking, venting, and cleaning. Relating it to Yuichi Tanabe Our Opinions Theme: What is your preference, having someone present while mourning or complete isolation while mourning? Kitchen Presentation Kamryn Lopez Martin Tobar Why is it important to have someone present during your mourning stages caused by a loss? Keep in mind: The loss can be of anyone with relevance within that person's life. Having a person's presence after a loss is key to acceptance and recovery Quickwrite (50 words): " I really needed you to make me laugh," he said, rubbing his eyes with his arm," so much I couldn't stand it anymore." (page 51) " You've been on my mind the whole time... But somehow I just couldn't call you." (page 50) Discussion Relating it to Mikage Sakurai "Why did you invite me here?" I asked. " We thought you might be having a hard time, Yuichi said, peering kindly at me." (page 10) "Your grandmother was always so concerned about you, and probably the person who can best understand how you feel in this world is me." (page 37)
