Transcript: Senior Fall Resources Standardized Tests SENIOR YEAR STANDARDIZED TESTING PROCEDURES You are responsible for sending your own standardized test scores through the College Board/ACT, but a growing number of colleges are now allowing students to self-report. This is done on the honor system, and before you enroll at an institution, you will be required to submit official scores. To see the most up-to-date list of schools that allow you to self-report, visit https://princetonreview.blog/2017/11/03/can-you-self-report-sat-and-act-scores/. If you are applying to a UC, you will need to submit official scores, but only to one campus. It doesn't matter which one, as the scores will get distributed to whichever UC's to which you apply. What if I took subject tests, and my colleges don't require them? Consult with us before you submit your scores, as it may or may not serve you well to submit them. Any other questions? Consult the Compass Guide to Admission Testing at http://downloads.compassprep.com/compass_guide_to_admission_testing_2017-2018.pdf Getting Stuff to Colleges APPLICATION MATERIALS You submit . . . See additional page for more details. How arts recommendations are submitted will vary by school. Be sure to check how each school on your list wants to receive an arts recommendation (an if they want one at all.) Some will want the recommendation submitted through Slide Room and some will use the "additional recommender" feature in the Common App. You will need to invite your recommender appropriately. Unlike acadeic recommendations, these recommendations do NOT go through the Naviance/the College Counseling office. Arts Recommendations College Office Deadlines 10/4- IMPORTANT DATE! For our planning purposes, we ask that you communicate all early school choices to our office using the Yellow Sheet by 10/5 with a rough draft of your regular decision schools, too.
