Transcript: Target audience; roughly from the ages of 15 to 25. Typically male audience with a love/passion for retro styled games. Who also don't care for graphical felidalitly but rather for great game mechanics and ideas The cover for the game's package 2 hyper linked pages from the games website a magazine advert for the game The distrubiton methods will be tv ad breaks and youtube adverts. These methods can grasp a huge auidence at a reasonable cost Own strengths: Gaming Jargon 101 Games like all media products have genres Game genres usually indicate what type of game. for example a game known as a FPS (first person shooter) has the genre of simply as a FPS. Game genres do mix and make hybrid genres, they all follow the abbrivation theme that is quite consistant within game genre names. A few well known genres; FPS, RTS(real time strategy), MMO(Massivley Mutliplayer online), Puzzle (no abbrivations here ), RPG(Role playing game), MOBA(Multiplayer online battle arena) Some hybrid genres; MMORPG, MMORTS, FPSpuzzle. About the game: 4. Tv adverts for a new computer/video game Distrubution and exhibition: knowledge of magazine and tv advertisements Comfortable knowledge of conventions of platformer games Skill sets needed for production: F2P (free too play) P2P (its either Pay to Play, or with server connections its Peer to Peer) Servers are what most mutliplayer elements are hosted on The act of 'hosting' is simmilar to holding a party at your house. people can come and go as they please but its your house where the event is. Such is the simple meaning for hosting Loot is the term for reciving new items/gear from achiving specific tasks mechanics a feature within a game The game is a retro style 2d platformer where you play as a 'good' robot-like character that works his way through the levels using the 4 elements in various ways to solve puzzles, navigate through blockades and to fight off the 'bad' full-robot characters, The game will focus less on the fighting and more on the puzzles My love for gaming in general and my experince with the simple conventions of platformer games will allow me to make the products and give me a drive to see this from start to completion. The game tv adverts will link into each other due to the nature of their content, the logo that they show will become a icon for which the magazine advert and the game cover will share, this link will draw in auidences who have seen the tv adverts and notice the similar style between all of the products How the products will relate/support each other:

Transcript: Pitch and Presentation Idea 1 For a gamer, playing becomes more than an addiction, and life becomes a game itself… It’s all a mind trick! What happens if you’d wake up in a morning feeling like you are not living in a real life? For Kyle the question is if this is a game or it’s for good. His mind is playing tricks, and he is becoming captive in his own world. After being abandoned and spending all his childhood and adulthood playing video games, Mike is finding himself alone having to face an awful truth. He doesn’t seem human anymore. When he is not controlling, his reactions are almost robotic, like his mind was replaced by a more powerful source. Idea 2 A deaf girl with 200 IQ starts hearing voices (ironic). Is she able to hear again, or is something beyond that? A genius in mathematics and quantum Physics lives in absolute stillness. From her birth to her 25s she completed dedicated herself to sciences. It was the only life she knew…until one day when a blow minding thing happened. It was a low frequency at first, then something that she could associate with human voices. In a strange way her mind could perceive and even understand the message transmitted. What is actually happening? Idea 3 An ex convict decides to test a new drug aimed to delete all your bad memories and sins for a couple of hours… How convenient and safe can that be? Being an ex convict implies a lot of things, especially living at peace with the past and your regrets. Phil knew that he couldn’t change everything, but at least it can be possible and less painful for him if he will try a new path. It was a new drug pill discovered that would focus only the memories that represent something positive for you. Phil thought that he will feel the release of not having regrets for a couple of hours... And then something unexpected happened.

Transcript: SCENE 1: THE DREAM SCENE -Low Key Lighting SCENE 2: AWAKE -Dim Key Light SCENE 3: TIED UP -Low Key Lighting SCENE 4: FLASHBACK -Key Light SCENE 5: REALISATION -Low Key Lighting My focus will need to be on: -Getting the beats right in each scene in order to sustain the interest of the audience i.e. to keep them interested and not bored. -I need to maintain an air or suspense throughout this short film. Edits will need to be: -Seamless focusing specifically on scene 1: The dream scene and Scene 4: The flashback scene where a seamless transition needs to be made from flash back to real time and dream to real time. Crew: Rosie Needham - Producer Claudia Gridelli - Director Chris Dodd - Lighting & Sound Ian Clarke - Cameraman Equipment: Camera Tripod Microphone Head phones Tape Card Steady cam Production requirements & constraints Scene 1 Production schedules Compositions: Over the shoulder shots Movements: Following the action using tracks/panning shot. Scene 5 Constraints: Timescale Pre production will take 2 days (planning) Production will take 4 days (filming) Post production 3 days (editing) Outline of style: Lighting The scenes will take place in three locations. The story takes place over the course of 24 hours. The gradual recovery of the protagonist’s memory through inadvertent cohesion. The main theme is focused on issues of loss - the gradual recovery of Jamie’s memory. -The dilemma in this short film is Jamie not letting Gabe (the neighbour) find out that she regains her memory when tied up. -Jamie’s dilemma is whether or not to tell Gabe that she remembers the cause of her loosing her memory in order to gain favour with Gabe so he won’t kill her. Unique selling point of idea Outline of style: Lighting style and theme SCENE 1: THE DREAM SCENE (3 hours) -Film stairs and kitchen (early pm) SCENE 2: AWAKE (1/2 day) -Home scene discovery (filmed 4pm and onwards) SCENE 3: A LOSS (2 hours) -Filmed in Reading College media studio (pm) SCENE 4: FLASHBACK (3 hours) -Filmed in car -Night scene SCENE 5: REALISATION (2 hours) -Filmed in Reading College media studio (pm) Psychological Thriller with an unexpected twist making this a unique and marketable short film in it’s genre. Back in the room, Jamie looks at Gabe. Gabe screams at her questioning her as to why she gave up their child. It becomes clear to her that Gabe is more than just her neighbour. She realises that this has sent Gabe in to a psychotic state and could potentially kill her. She thinks that the only way to possibly make it out alive is to pretend she doesn't remember anything... Production requirements & constraints Scene 3 Outline of content :The Story The lighting in the car scene (Considering they won’t be driving) Needs to be filmed in a very dark but safe road (dead end) also needs test shots done. The fight scene in Jamie’s home Need to keep the actors from getting hurt may need to film several scenes and edit to overcome potential issues. The rating is 12A and target audience 12+ Gender is aimed at both Appeal to horror and thriller buffs: Has an interesting twist that will keep this specific audience on their toes, continuously guessing as to what the connection is between these two characters. Scene 2 The Neighbour I will be using lighting kit for these scenes: Jamie wakes up to find herself in an empty room. She spots a computer that was videoing her bedroom and her lounge. She starts panicking trying to escape. She sees someone sitting on a chair across the room holding something. It's the ornament she tried to hit the neighbour with. As the unclear figure that was sitting in the chair stands up it becomes clear to Jamie that it’s the neighbour who attacked her. Scene 4 Inspirations Outline of style: Camerawork Jamie is in a dream. She's in her kitchen drinking a glass of water. She spots an envelope on the foor in her hallway. She walks over and picks it up. It reads "Why didn't you tell me?" She walks into her lounge and dicovers a webcam as she's walking back she trips over her coffee table to find a mysterious killer that violently bashes her head with a house hold ornament. Locations: Car - scene 4 Empty room - scene 3 and 5 (Reading College studio) House - scene 1 and 2 Props: Rope , Glass, House hold ornament, Laptop, Webcam, Envelope As Gabe, the neightbour, is screaming and shouting at Jamie, she has a flash back where she's in the car with Gabe. They are arguing but it's not clear what they are arguing about. Gabe looses control of the steering wheel and they crash. This is what has caused Jamie to loose her memory. Outline of content :Theme Outline of style: Editing Contingency plans Jamie wakes up from her dream, startled. She goes to the hallway where she found the envelope in her dream. Nothing. So she goes to the place where she saw the webcam. To her surprise she finds a webcam, she backs away and trips over her coffee table she panics when their's a knock on the door. She looks through the spy hole to see her
