The CD player also allows you to watch movies and play audio and present presentations from the CD. The flashing lights on the monitor are also a input device. STRATEGY Set your stategy to achieve your objective, consider > short term goals long term goals implementing change step by step standards protocols pilot projects PDCA - PLAN - DO - CHECK - ACT TEAM Create your team, involve everyone > consider let your team know the goals get everyone involved set levels of knowledge required new roles ability map plan & plot changes reward Ok, but how? How?! is different for every business and must be tailored to the business goals. There are some common themes found in successful implimentation though. Common Themes Pilot projects should be selected on programme - is there sufficient time to introduce and learn new procedures? complexity - is the project to simple? to complex? or unlike the normal workload? size - if the project is too small, the benefits may not be felt. If the project is to large it may overwhelm the new users budget - can the budget support the learning curve, will the client appriciate the benefits and investment team - is the team capable of delivering the project, does the right mix of knowledge, leadership, expertise and resource exist Plan - create a plan - set goals for a pilot projects Do - put the plan in to action - complete a pilot project Check - evaluate the action - did the pilot meet the aims set out Act - feed the evaluation back in to the plan - set or implement standards for the next cycle - IMPROVE THE SYSTEM understand the investment Knowledge Skill pilot projects Set Company Vision Understand Benefits Set Goals Understand function of BIM Understand requirements of Tech & Strategy level Process the workflow - set protocol Design Manager Design leader Understanding the investment - all staff fall in to (at least) one of three categories Strategic Management Technical The level of knowledge to skill ratio will change up and down the pyramid.
