Introduction The U.S. flag has undergone many changes since the first official flag of 1777. On June 14, 1777 , the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act, which said that the flag would be made up of thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars on a blue field. Stars have been added to the flag as new states join the union. Currently, the flag contains 50 stars. Red Signifies Vigilance, perseverance, and justice. While the flag's colors did not have a specific meaning at the time, the colors were significant for the Great Seal of 1782. Blue Signifies purity and innocence. Add 10 drops saturated aqueous copper sulfate to the right beaker. 5. Pour 400ml pf 1.0M aqueous ammonia into a 600ml beaker. 6. Use large beaker to pour 75 ml of ammonia into each beaker. Wear goggles, closed toe shoes, and lab coat Avoid inhaling ammonia gas, do in fume hood Follow proper disposal procedures for lead 4 - - Pb + 2OH --> Pb(OH) HPhenolphthalein and aqueous ammonia are mixed. 2- blue deep blue 3 2 3 2+ How does it work? Red is the color that most people associat with power, danger, and the sign to stop. Lots of leaders where red to show thier power in order to scare others. By Emma Fancher Conclusion These three colors have made a huge impact on many things in our society. The color red is meant to show power but is also seen as for love. White is the color of pure and innocent. And finnally blue the calm and rare color we try to find. All three of thes colors are what we see every time our flag waves. White White is the lightest of all colors and is achromatic. Most people see white as the color of things that are pure or innocennt. White objects are refelctive and bounce off differnt objects. For example snow refelects the sunlight super well in the winter. Blue Our Nation's Colors Our flag has been red,white,and blue since it was first flown in the air on June 14th,1777. The color blue is often seen as a calming color. One intresting thing to think about is how rare it is to see blue out in nature. There will always be the sky and water but what else is blue out in the wild? Did you know that only 8% of people have blue eyes?
