The presence of Christ guides us and helps us to become better people. So in order to connect with Christ we take the Holy bread and wine that represents his flesh and blood as he sacrifice his life for us. The Jewish people celebrate the Passover meal as this represents the day over 3000 years ago when they were saved from Egypt, from slavery. Jewish people celebrate the Passover with the Seder Plate which contain symbolic foods eaten and displayed at the ‘Passover Seder’. We preach the Lord’s teachings through the bible, his 12 disciples followed him around learning about his ways and teachings. After Jesus sacrificed his life his disciples spread his words to the people in which who would listen to them and wrote down their own sightings in the Bible. This is known as the New Testament. This is similar with the Eucharist, we celebrate our saviour, where we eat symbolic food which are the body and blood of Christ (bread and wine).
