The Greens
Transcript: The Greens party use a variety of ways to get their messages across. They use things like social media platforms. They're on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. They use said platforms to express their beliefs and policies. They also use it to advertise and provide information about the people who are in the party. I believe this is a fairly good method of expressing your party and their beliefs because it can extend to places that aren't local, like the other side of the country. It can also be used to gain attention in a very short time span, depending on the following the party has. If the party has a fair amount of followers, people can share the news faster and therefore send the news out to their friends and followers where the party then can gain more followers and voters. There are a couple of downsides to this method though. If they were to use Twitter, for example, they would only have a limited character count. This means that they can't express their core beliefs and policies in detail, and to initiate conversation with thousands of people who comment on these posts would be a challenge. If they were to go door knocking, they can converse with the people in a full discussion. There are certain similarities and differences between parties policies. I've chosen to compare the Liberal and the Greens party's policies on Environment. Some similarities are: They both want to protect the Great Barrier Reef, meaning that they both believe that we are doing something wrong and they both want it to stop. They both equally want to stop fish and other living things from harming the reef, as well as stopping coal mines and investing in green energy. They both believe in protecting endangering species too. They're both putting money into projects to help. Basic Beliefs The Greens Policy The Greens Policy on Ecological Sustainability: "The Australian Greens seek to cultivate a global, ecological consciousness based on a long-term perspective in order to safeguard the interests of both existing and future generations and species. Human society depends on, and our economy is constrained by, ecological resources and we must avoid actions which risk long-term or irreversible damage to the environment. Fundamental to ecological sustainability is the maintenance of biodiversity – the natural complexity which provides balance in the interplay of all living things. The Australian Greens recognise the interdependence between humanity and the rest of nature as we seek to move to an ecologically sustainable path." They want us to help the human race by helping the environment. We need these resources given to us by Earth, and we need to cut down on non-renewable resources and turn to reusble resources, which are ecologically sustainable. Firstly, the Liberal Party doesn't have anything on waste, whereas the Greens do. They have a whole topic under the policy 'environmental sustainability'. They feel that waste is a big problem that needs to be stopped and that it really damages the environment a lot. Another thing the Greens have but the Liberal doesn't is a point on disabilities. Although the Liberal party has points on mental health and hospital billings, they don't have a whole section dedicated to disability like the Greens do. The Greens believe that people with disabilities and their carers should be able to participate in activities and policies like everyone else. The basic beliefs of the Greens Party are: Ecological sustainability Grassroots Participatory Democracy Social Justice Peace and non-violence I think that the Greens developed this policy because they're based off making Australia the best environment it can be. These could've also have formed if something bad in crime happened, or something violent. I think that they made these basic beliefs because they see what's happening to the environment right now like coal mining, waste, climate change, animals, etc. I also think that the Greens saw something in social justice and thought that they wanted make a change to that, and make Australia a better place. The Greens formed in 1992 to I believe that this comic is not in favor of the Greens. It has a couple of people, obviously from the Greens, asking whether this man would like it if ugly, mean, unintelligent people were on his land without his permission. Of course, the irony is, that these to Greens supporters are on the guy's lawn without his permission, so he is telling them to go away.
