Transcript: by:CARSON KNOWLES Maui MY Hawaiian ADVENTURE For my first port I stopped in Oahu. Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian Island chain, and is the most populated of the eight islands. The state capital of Hawaii is Honolulu, which is the biggest city on Oahu. Oahu is a total 596.7 square miles.and 227 of the miles are beaches. On December,7,1941 Japan launched a full out surprise attack on the American U.S. Navy fleet sitting in Pearl Harbor and sank many ships including the USS Arizona, which now has a memorial on top of it. ENSENADA HAWAII My final stop was Ensenada, Mexico. Ensenada is a coastal city, and has a population of 143,481. It has the largest marine geyser in the world, called La Bufadora. The Hawiian culture The Hawiian peoples religion is Christianity after we came and screwed up their religions. Only 2,000 people natively speek hawiian thats 0.1% of the population. The Hawiians mostly eat fish,and fruits\vegetables. until be brought eatable animals. The island of Hawaii is the biggest in the state of Hawaii.It is a total of 4,028 square miles and has a population of 108,079. The locals call it "The Big Island" because it is often confused with the state of Hawii.Hawaii also has a lot of parks like volcano national park. It is the home of the longest erupting volcano, Kilauea. My second stop was Kauai.It is the oldest island and contains the rainiest place on Earth. It is 562.3 square miles in total. The island is known for all the random chickens running around and, they are illegal to kill unless they are on your property. My third stop was in Maui. Maui is the second largest island and is 727.2 square miles, and has a population of 144,444 people. During the summertime, over 3000 whales travel to Maui to mate then go back to Alaska to eat.
