Transcript: Where did it take place? Who was involved? It took place at the mans home with the water jug. At the time Jesus was preparing for his death and about to have his last supper with the disciples. Jesus on the night he was betrayed broke bread and gave it to his disciples and said take eat. This is my body which is given for you. This do in remembrance of me. In the same way he gave them the cup and said drink of it all of you, this cup is the testament of my blood which is shed for the forgiveness of sins. My verse. What is Holy Communion? Holy communion is true body and blood of our lord Jesus Christ, under the bread and wine instituted by Christ himself for us to eat and drink. He gives us his own true body and blood for the forgiveness of sin. Jesus SAID "this IS my body and this IS my blood." What does Jesus Christ give us in Holy Communion? This sacrament is also called the Lords Supper, the Lords Table, Holy Communion, the breaking of bread and the Eucharist. Eucharist means "Giving thanks." Holy Communion The verse that i chose was, Romans 5:6. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, christ died for the ungodly. what this means to me is that no matter who we are god died for each and everyone of us. Why is it called the sacrament of the alter? What are some other names for the sacrament of the alter? It is called the sacrament of the alter because in biblical times people would sacrifice a lamb for forgiveness and build an alter for it. Jesus sacrificed himself for us on the cross.

Transcript: Holy Communion What Is It? The Holy Communion The Holy Communion is based on the last supper (I'll explain that later) and occurs once a month for the christian religion. What you do for the Holy Communion is that you'll remember how Jesus died on the cross for us by drinking wine (grape juice) and eating bread (these white crackers). The Holy Communion occurs every first week of every month. To be part of the Holy Communion you will have to be baptized and be a christian meaning you have confessed your sins and have also confessed that you truely believe in God. If you are not baptized you can just sit and watch and be a spectator. Who Is Included In The Holy Communion? Who? Grape Juice: This is used to represent the blood that Jesus shed when he was on the cross White Crackers: This is used to represent the body of Jesus. What Do You Eat? What Do You Eat? The Pastor would first take out the crackers (representing bread) and then say a verse from the bible. Then the Pastor would take out the grape juice (representing wine) and he'll say another verse form the bible. Then we would eat and drink it (including the Pastor). Step By Step Step by Step The Last Supper, also known as the history behind the last supper, traces around two thousand years ago when Jesus was about to get nailed onto the cross because of all the rebellions against christ. The night before Jesus was going to be nailed onto the cross he held a dinner for him and his twelve disciples. Holy Communion The seriousness of which their Lord in Heaven descended to earth to suffer for sins The full extent of kindness which He shared with all the unworthy The height He rose to by rising from death and leading His people During Holy Communion many Christians gather at church and usually first praise God and Jesus using Worship music. Psalms and hymns are then spoken aloud before prayers for various things. The Lord's Table is then readied for Holy Communion in which bread and wine is handed out to all in attendance and asked to either listen or participate in the next bible reading that usually is connected to the Last Supper or Good Friday. During the last supper, after reading the previous quote from Matthew's gospel, we know that Jesus told his disciples that whilst eating this bread and drinking this wine we are remembering his sacrifice during Good Friday. He encouraged during the last supper that from then on everyone take holy communion to remember all that happened on the day of the last supper and on Good Friday. Whilst partaking in Holy Communion Christians are able to fully appreciate the extent and fullness of Jesus' sacrifice for all people. This means during communion those who participate are encouraged to reflect on all the good Jesus did for them. Some particular examples are listed below. Water has been used for baptizing in most cases, for a special reason too, for water symbolizes the 'drowning' of one's old life and the birth of their new. Holy Communion - or Eucharist - is a noun in the English language and can be described in four different ways in a typical Oxford Dictionary, these are : 1. the sacrament of Holy Communion; the sacrifice of the Mass; the Lord's Supper. 2. the consecrated elements of the Holy Communion, especially the bread. 3. the giving of thanks; thanksgiving. 4. spiritual communion with God. In the Old Testament of the Bible, fire represents the 'purifying' presence of God.

(John 6:54) Our frequent faithful Holy Communion, received worthily, helps us to grow in grace, to reflect Christ in the world, to bring him to those we meet day by day, to make us more Christ-like. We are called to become Who we receive. life. It is the first time that a person receives the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, which is the eating of consecrated bread and drinking of consecrated wine. Most Catholic children receive their First Holy Communion when they are 7 or 8 years old as this is considered the age of reason. Holy Communion A Loaf of Bread.
