He was the first to introduce a primitive form. Created a perpetual motion machine because of his interest in the theory behind gaming. His wheel was used in experiments. One of Pascals friend saw potential earnings in the wheel and became it became Roulette Game play V A R I A T I O N S Players choose to place bets on either a single number or range of numbers, the color, or whether it's odd or even. To determine the winning number or color a wheel is spun in one direction, and a ball is tossed. The ball eventually falls into one of the 37 (French/European) or 38 (American) colored and numbered pockets on the wheel. Players can continue to play until the wheel dealer announces no more bets. When a winning number and its color is determined the dealer places a marker. When it is placed no players can place, collect, or remove bets. The dealer then sweeps away all losing bets, determines payouts, and removes the marker. The winning chips remain on the board. There is a minimum and maximum that you can bet, on the inside you can spread the minimum on different bets.
