Transcript: Q and A Movie "Slum Dog milliniaor" Slumdog Millionaire is a 2008 British romantic drama film directed by Danny Boyle, written by Simon Beaufoy, and co-directed in India by Loveleen Tandan. It is an adaptation of the novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. Set and filmed in India, the film tells the story of Jamal Malik, a young man from the Juhu slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? It was voted the Most Influential Book of 2008 in Taiwan, and winner of the Best Travel Read (Fiction) at the Heathrow Travel Product Award 2009. writer's life Vikas Swarup was born in Allahabad (India) in a family of lawyers.After his schooling, Vikas attended Allahabad University and studied History, Psychology and Philosophy. He also made his mark as a champion debater, winning National level competitions. After graduating with distinction, he joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1986, motivated by an interest in international relations and a desire to explore different cultures. Art of writting Art of writing – The main reason I pick this book is sarcastic language, the writer use sarcastic way of put up his ideas, which enhance humor all over the book, but he explain all the mistakes in the society . How the story get starts The story starts with a guy from slums win the game show and it is a miracle how he knews all the answers to the questions .The main character Ram Mohammad Thomas had to prove how he pick' the correct answer from the knowledge he gathered from street. There are so many conflicts between people for their race . Ram who born as an offen and has no clue about his race or religion .Father Timothy who raised Ram and gave his name as Ram Mohammed Thomas to rescues from t race and regional conflict. His name represent all three religions . •Poverty is all over in Indian, even though they only get small wage they never hesitate to go for a movie even they don’t have food to survive. •Mother’s Love -Every human being needs Mothers love ,Ram never had a mother in his life.Mothers love is totally alline thing to him .He dreams everyday a woman he thinks it’s his mom.The writer shows it effect to him psychologically. Climax The most exciting part is the last question of the game show .Actually Ram gave the correct answer and all of sudden the presenter changed the question after giving the answer.
