Transcript: A New Frame Goal #3: (Quantity) Edit Footage:Produce two individual rough cuts for a faculty member (Tory) to critique and give opinion of if they are truly Subjective and Objective. Measure (Quality): Providing Tory’s raw notes on the perspectives and a two-page paper on my perspective of Tory’s notes. Goal #4: (Quantity)Test Screening:Test Subjective vs. Objective for the best version of telling Tyler’s story by doing a test screening and giving the audience a simple questionnaire. Measure(Quality): A one-page summary on the audience’s reactions while watching the films. I will also provide a packet of the answered questionnaires of the written responses of the audience. The last thing needed to provide would be a 4-5-page paper of describing the process and result I came to within the project. Original Goals If I were to reframe what I was studying within the field, it would be to find a more definitive answer as to how much of Subjective and Objective qualities need to be put into a film in order to make it the best of what it needs to provide. The Central Question would be: Is there a "formula" as to how much of each Subjective and Objective need to go into a film? Theoretical Questions: Is there such thing? Can it be acheived? Who would benefit from knowing this? Original Goals cont. Oral Defense Presentation Goal #1: (Quanitity) ResearchWatch 2-3 documentaries based on both types in question (Subjective and Objective). Research the aesthetic character of both. Measure: Complete a one-page summary of each as trends are revealed. Goal #2: TravelTravels to Denver and shoot the test project from two general perspectives (Subjective vs. Objective). Measure (Quality): Log each approach and rate various shots/sequences for the purity of s/o. Shot 1A (S or O) ----------------------75% (accuracy) Qualitative/Quantitative Elements Goal #1: Quantity: MET. Watched amount of documentaries required. Quality: MET. Found the trends of Subjective and Objective documentaries. Goal #2: Quantity: MET. Traveled to Denver.Quality: MET. Labeled shots according to Subjective or Objective. Transcript: 3D Modeling and Spatial Reasoning Thesis: 3D modeling should be taught to younger students because it will prepare them more for modern application into the real world such as different fields of engineering and modern day media. What do engineers do? Engineering in general is the application of science and math to solve problems, there are many different types of engineers which have an impact in our society today. Mechanical engineers design and machines, tools, engines and other mechanical systems that other engineers depend on to get their jobs done. Many mechanical engineers design a lot of stuff. Like... Civil engineers generally are involved in the design of public works. These include buildings, roads, bridges, dams. Anything that has to do with the layout of our cities. 3D modeling today was like a paper and pencil in the past. Today, modern design and architecture revolves around CAD and Autocad (Computer Aided Design) systems to help with resources, time, and design. 3D modeling is practically bread and butter for people who know how to use it. Using things such as 3D modeling someone can design some amazing things. A brief evolution on the hanheld pokemon game. For my phase 3 I put on an experiment to try and improve a middle school student's spatial reasoning. Refutation Students might not want to learn about it because: doesn't apply to career/job might not want to be represented by it may not have time to learn it should only focus on traditional school ciriculum My Solution: Turn it into a club or after school program Ben's Missiles: Zac's Fire Red/Leaf Green (Remakes of Red and Blue) 1st Gen. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Lloyd's Nate's Gen 4. 2006 Clark's Heart Gold/Soul Silver (Remakes of Gold and Silver) 2004 Gen 5 3D modeling doesn't only apply to games, they also apply to media and design. With no 3D animation, say goodbye to a lot of animated characters. There wouldn't be any Toy Story, no Bugs Life and you can say goodbye to the big green ogre to your right. Red and Blue 2010 Leonardo Da Vinci Refutation 3D animation has taken a huge step from a bit by bit screen to a realistic gamscape where a man can take his revenge while the other blows stuff up 2000 2009 1996 Saphire/Ruby/Emerald (3rd Generation) Pokemon Black(2)/White(2) And some pretty cool cars Turbines High schoolers should learn about the benefits of 3D modeling because it applies a lot to game/movie design. Today, Master Cheif can blow stuff up while Kratos take his revenge on the gods. With the progression of 3D modeling, pixar characters can walk and talk, new characters will have new looks, and giant autobots and decepticons can fight. Pokemon Crystal/Gold/Silver Generation 2

Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.
