Transcript: Womens Lacrosse Girls lacrosse is a hybrid between hockey, field hockey, soccer and basketball. The object of the game is to get the ball into the net. It is a game of skill but involves quick thinking. Stick, cleats, goggles, mouth guard….that's it. (Except for the brave goalie). Girls don’t wear all the pads the boys do. Big difference in the sticks. Men's Stick Women's Stick Numerous rules Always played with 12 players including the goalie (unless in yellow or red card situation). Defense – job is to protect the goalie and to transition the ball up the field (strong players). Midies – Versatile players ready to score or defend and must run the entire field. Center – Takes the draw and is the communicator on the field (Captain) Homes – Object is to score. Major Fouls – Roughing, check to head, slash, holing of an opponents Crosse, reach across, blocking, and charging. Minor – Covering, hand ball, throw her Crosse, illegal draw, illegal sub. Club Our goal is to become an official varsity team.
