Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” As volunteers in the children's ministry, we are advocates for children. We must do everything we can to protect children from evil. God has placed each of us in a position of authority over children, and we must be good stewards of our authority. CODE OF CONDUCT for KIDS CENTRAL is a set of.. we are to observe in dealing with children. CODE OF CONDUCT " " CODE OF CONDUCT 1. In any activity involving children (e.g. seminar, forums, camps, congress, assembly, meeting, counseling practice, etc.), I will observe the two-adult rule, wherein two or more adult staff must be present at all times to supervise the children. 2. If I need to accompany a child in any official travel, I will secure proper written authorization from my supervisor and from the child’s parent or guardian. 3. I will not stay overnight alone with one or more *GCAF children regardless of gender, whether in child’s home or elsewhere. " CODE OF CONDUCT " 4. I will not fondle, hold, kiss, cuddle or touch minors in an inappropriate or culturally insensitive way. 5. I will not flirt; give unwelcome flattering remarks or any suggestive comments to *GCAF children. 6. I will avoid spending excessive time alone with children and away from others. If time alone with children is required, I shall first notify appropriate authorities (GCAF pastoral team member, ministry head) before spending time alone with them unsupervised. " CODE OF CONDUCT " 7. I will be entirely professional in my relationship with *GACF children, while at the same time demonstrating Christian love and care. 8. I will be conscious about the perception and actual nature of my interaction and relationships with children. 9. I will not use derogatory language and act in ways intended to shame, humiliate, belittle or degrade children or otherwise perpetuate any form of emotional abuse. " CODE OF CONDUCT " 10. I will not discriminate against, show preferential treatment or favor particular children to the exclusion of others. 11. I will not develop any physical or sexual relationship with children. 12. I will photograph and video children only when they are appropriately dressed. 13. I will not hire minors as “house-help” or be accessory to recruiting a minor to engage in any employment/work that is potentially abusive and would separate the child from his/her immediate family. When uncertain about the boundaries of appropriate or inappropriate behavior, I will seek guidance without hesitation from my supervisor or from any member of the GCAF leadership team. 15. I will respect GCAF’s Core Values and Leadership Principles, especially in dealing with children.
