It is a serious infection that affects between 5-20% of the US population annually. Each year, more than 200,000 individuals are hospitalized and 3,000-49,000 deaths occur from influenza-related complications.Common symptoms include fever (101ºF-102ºF), muscle/body aches, chills, tiredness, and sudden onset. Other symptoms may include a cough and/or sore throat and a runny or stuffy nose.
