People always say "find a college where you feel at home." I never understood this phrase until someone compared it to Fort Walton Beach High School. This school is my home. I will always miss all the school-spirited activities that I partake in. I love all the amazing people that I've met through out the years and I will never forget a single person. I can't wait to see what everyone has done with their lives when we have our class reunions and what not. I wouldn't have wanted to spend these four years any other way with any other people. The things that I learned in my leadership class will also follow me for the rest of my life. I know that I am prepared for whatever life throws at me because of what this class has taught me. As much as I'm extremely ready to get out of here and into college, this school will always have a special place in my heart. ? He copied every dance move I did but his favorite was the robot. I will never forget him and I hope so see him next year and I also hope that he remembers me! You have made my experience worth while Silver Sands Prom Extra-Curricular Activities Friends I have learned more that I think from being in clubs and other school activities. Nursing Leadership

Transcript: I made a difference by sharing my experiences and education with one individual which in turn can spread. Thank You! A first year student who could not attend their observation day Who was it for Hayley Scalf-Kostiuk I believe that there needs to be more education on this area and what it has to offer for seniors, as well as nurses. Educated a student on my current clinical placement at Seniors Central Home Care as a Case Manager Interventionist: can be a registere nurse or licensed nurse, provide more of the hands on care including wounds, injections, home parental therapy, and catheter care Case Manager: a registered nurse who coordinates care for clients living in their home, helps individuals access resources and professional services The difference between a Case Manager and Interventionist in home care What I did My Motivation What other professional services are available to clients through home care including some of the following: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, dietician What the agencies offer including personal care, companionship, homemaking, respite care Types of assessments used in home care including the RAI which shows us how many hours clients are allowed to have through the agency and professionally Working in home care requires an individual who works well in a team and is very strong independently Future Leadership EXpansion Some Education I Provided How I Made a Difference My motivation comes from my passion for home care. I strongly believe in home care for seniors as the population continues to age and the number of seniors increases. Although I have found this passion for home care, there was not any education provided to me to learn about it. I found out about homecare through my own research and looking for a job. I felt compelled to share my experiences with another nursing student who is just starting on their path. Recommendation 62 ECG bpm

Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Leadership Powerpoint

Transcript: After hurricane Matthew for about two hour, I helped my elderly neighbor Ms. Helen clean up her yard after hurricane Matthew. I chose to do this because it would really make her life easier, then she wouldn't have to spend money on a yard crew to clean it up. The planning process in my mind was seeing how messy her yard was, and since I was cleaning up my own yard I thought I might as well clean up hers too. When I was cleaning up her yard I raked leaves and moss, and picked up big sticks and dragged them to the front of her yard to picked up by the yard trash people. During the process I learned that raking moss was way more effective than picking it up and that hard work pays off, even if its not for your own good. Doing work in her yard changed me and made me feel like I was making a difference because it made people's lifes' easier, and I was killing two birds with one stone. Pumpkin Patch By Mayson Wilkins For another hour of my community service project, I decided to work at my elementary school Hendricks Avenue Elementary's Family Fitness Night, as a greeter, who would stand at the door and pass out flyers. I chose to work here because it was a chance to see all of my old teachers and work on speaking to new people. I did not have to plan for this event except for driving there. When I was working at Hendricks, I remembered going to school there. I also enjoyed passing out flyers and welcoming people into the school. I learned to talk to new people and deal with the not so nice people that came through. It changed me by proving to myself that I can talk to people that are new to me without getting tense. And the difference that I made through doing this was helping people finding their way through the school, and making the event less stressful for everyone. Hurricane matthew Leadership Community Service FamiLy fitness night For two of my leadership community service hours, I worked at Southside United Methodist Church's Annual Fall Pumpkin Patch. I chose to work there because I wanted to be a part of it and know that I am helping a good neighborhood cause. I did not have to plan for doing this event other than driving there. When I was actually helping at the Pumpkin Patch I unloaded pumpkins and passed them down a long line of people also helping there so they could put them on display. By helping in the pumpkin patch I learned that helping the community and being productive can go hand in hand. This good deed made things easier for the other pumpkin un-loaders and made things run a bit more smoothly.
