Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Bullet Points

Transcript: Rose of Sharon is Mrs. Joad's young daughter who is pregnant throughout their book and all the way to California. She is focused on caring for her baby and making sure it is happy. It is born dead, but it and the pregnancy symbolize several things in the course of the story. The turtle's struggle to cross the highway represent the Joad family's struggles to cross the U.S. to get to California. The road is an obstacle for the turtle much like it is for the Joads. The turtle's setbacks (Tom, getting hit) represents the Joads many obstacles that keep reappearing on their trip to California. When Tom lets it go after carrying it for miles, it turns around and heads right back on its path. This represents the Joad family's resilience and determination to survive and get to a better place. The Road The Turtle The Grapes of Wrath The road (Route 66) is the setting of the story. It is the basis of the Joads' journey and something that is always there. Without the road, they would not have hope for a prosperous future. Rose of Sharon & Pregnancy The story of the Joad family can be represented through the turtle, pregnancy, and the road. When the three are mashed together you end up with perseverance, determination, and a small sense of hope despite the continues knock downs they receive. They are constantly showing the qualities demonstrated by the three in their jorney to reach a better life in California. In the beginning of the story, a turtle is crossing the road when it is hit by a truck and is knocked off his path. However, it just gets up and continues to plod along. When Tom lets it go after carrying it for miles, it still is not discouraged; it keeps plodding along where it intended to go. By Ryan Quick, Sam Garrison and Gabe Bellavita The Story Rose of Sharon & Pregnancy The Turtle Rose of Sharon's pregnancy represents the hope that the Joad family holds throughout the story. They keep hoping they will find happiness and prosper in California, just as Rose of Sharon keeps hoping she will have a healthy baby. The baby being born dead represents the way that the Joads' hopes and dreams were crushed, one after another. The Joad's journey across the nation takes place on a Route 66 between Oklahoma and California. They pack everything they can onto a small truck and set out in hopes to find new life in California. The road drags on for hundreds of miles and is the only path for the Joads to take. The Road The Joad family travels across the U.S.A. with their good friend, Jim Casy After being driven out of Oklahoma by the bank, they set out on the long dusty road to California.
