Ramarley Graham was one of many police brutality cases. ramarley was born on April 12th, 1993. He was born in the bronx to father Franclot Graham and mother Constance Malcom. Graham grew up as a smart, kind hearted young man. then the day came where he was murdered by a nypd officer. Transcript: Free Read PowerPoint Project Judith Rumelt, better known by her pen name Cassandra Clare, is an American author of young adult fiction. Main Characters Summary Prominent literary item Will Herondale-Will has dark hair and ocean blue eyes. Will is rude and cruel because he believes everyone that loves him will die. He believes this because a demon put a 'curse' on him. Tessa Gray- Tessa has blonde hair and grey eyes. She is very witty and enjoys literature. Recommendation of book Setting Jem Carstairs-Jem has silver hair and eyes, due to the drug he was tortured with before his family was killed. He plays the violin and is very kind, caring, and lovable. The most unique thing in Clockwork Angel is that there are supernatural occurrences such as demons, shape shifters, witches, vampires, and werewolves, etc. I definitely recommend Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. I recommend this book because it uses great figurative language, such as "The machine walked like a man." Also, "There was a boy standing in front of her. He couldn´t have been much older than she was-seventeen or possibly eighteen. He was dressed in what looked like workman´s clothes-a frayed black jacket, trousers, and tough-looking boots. He wore no waistcoat, and thick leather straps crisscrossed his waist and chest. Attached to the straps were weapons-daggers and folding knives and things that looked like blades of ice. In His left hand-slim and long fingered-was bleeding where she had gashed the back of it with her pitcher. But that wasn´t what made her stare. He had the most beautiful face she had ever seen. Tangled black hair and eyes like blue glass. Elegant cheekbones, and long, thick lashes. He looked like every fictional hero she´d ever conjured up in her head. Tessa Gray goes to London to live with her brother. When she arrives Tessa is captured by twin sisters dubbed 'the Dark Sisters'. She was tortured and forced to use her gift of shape shifting for evil until Will Herondale rescues her. He then takes her to the institute, a place for shadowhunters to be cared for. Tessa meets the residents of the institute, Charlotte Branwell, the head of the institute, Henry Branwell, Charlotte's husband and inventor of a many great inventions, Jessamine Lovelace, girly and against all things shadowhunter, Jem Carstairs, a kind but very ill shadowhunter. Presentation Themes Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare Most unique thing in the book Presentation by Canaan Hall Clockwork Angel takes place in the institute, and the Dark Sister's home. The institute is an old church with very many rooms for passing visitors. The Dark Sister's house is large but sparsly furnished, in Tessa's room there is a bed with restraints, a mirror, and a nightstand with a few books. The themes for Clockwork angel are; you always need friends that you can trust, don't judge someone by their looks you don't know what they are going through, and even someone you wouldn't expect could be the hero. Cassandra Clare One prominent literary item in the book is personification. Personification is used throughout Clockwork Angel, such as "The machine walked like a man." Another example is, "The door creaked with a noise that sounded like a scream."

Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Police Administration powerpoint

Transcript: Administrative decisions would be better if they were based on social findings. The auxiliary department is used for purposes of research and communication. This would benefit for the use of research to lower the chances of bias and "preconceived notions" within the department. If research is used to prove a point administrators would have more facts to back up a decision. Qualifications to join the department University and College Credit The Bureaucratic Model More on Line and Staff It is often used during periods of retrenchment when organizational growth has declined It is often used in growing organizations and easy to visualize the set of tasks to be accomplished and break them down into subtasks -used to describe the number of personnel a supervisor can personally manage effectively. -encompasses factors relating to an individual's capacity to oversee the activities of others directly. The Bureaucratic model rested on rational-legal authority. In a police context, rational-legal authority rests on the legal basis for the existence of the department. Authority is granted to positions within the organization, such as sergeants, lieutenants, and captains, who use that authority to fulfill their responsibilities and to accomplish the goals of the department. The Bureaucratic Model Cont. providing expert advice to line units in special knowledge areas as demonstrated by the opinions of legal advisers Relieving line managers from performing tasks they least prefer to do or are least qualified to do Achieving department wide conformity in activities that affect the entire organization Reducing or eliminating special problems because of the greater expertise they bring to bear on the issue and the greater amount of time they have to devote to the problem Solving this problem: You have to apply to the department If you're accepted you take the entrance exam If you pass you fill out the personal history packet In the beginning Military training and/or a college degree EMT, CPR, AED, or First Aid training previous police academy training previous weapon safety courses By motivating the followers, there will be an increase in their willingness to work and participate with the other workers. Adam Nowakowski Non-Qualifications Continued being a security guard ITT Tech as schooling for criminal justice Karate classes I could apply this theory by focusing on each individual worker and finding their strengths. By finding their strengths I can push each employee through that strength to not only teach them leadership qualities, but use their strengths to increase their work effort and find more incentives. Preconceived Notions Police Administration and Management There are not supporting elements that are internal or part of it, such as personnel, media relations, training, or fiscal management. Next, is a conditional employment offer. If you accept you take a medical exam, drug test, and psychological screening. By passing these you receive a final job offer. Bottom Up How Will I Apply Line and Staff? Transformational leaders help their subordinates grow not only as individuals, but as future leaders. This would benefit the use as line and staff structures due to the need of leaders for each division. With bottom up you work from smaller tasks up to the bigger task. Workers must keep an open mind so that they are willing to learn about other cultures and not buy into stereotypes. They must also be open to the idea of change and not be fearful of what will become of the department. Workers cannot be biased . Administrative decisions might be better if they were based on social science finding, but such findings are often ignored if they contradict the ideas of the police chief. Over 90 credit hours for bachelors Over 50 for associate 1 Class for martial arts/fighting techniques 1 Self Defense Class Auxiliary or Support and Administrative Rational-Legal Authority Span of Management: My preference is a narrow span of control. It gives the supervisor an easier job and he can focus more on the details of what his subordinates are working on. Follow a principle of hierarchy; each office is under the control and supervision of a higher one. There is a right of appeal and of statement of grievances from the lower to the higher offices. There is a division of labor. This division of labor or specialization increases the width and horizontal complexity of law enforcement agencies. Official duties are bound by a system of rational rules. Administrative acts, decisions, and rules are recorded in writing, creating an institutional memory. The authority associated with a position is the property of the office or job and not the occupant of the position. Employees are appointed on the basis of qualifications, and specialized training is necessary. Organizational members do not own it. Span of Control: Primary Line Elements Cognitive nearsightedness The assumption that the future will repeat the past Oversimplification Overreliance
