We are excited to have you as part of our Team!! Who we are: We are the largest law firm on island and we represent the People and Government of Guam. You will be working in one of five divisions housed within the OAG. They are Administration & Human Resources Child Support Enforcement Juvenile Prosecution Solicitors Litigation Consumer Protection We also have the Government Claims Unit, the Notary Unit, and the Victim Service Center What we do: We protect government interests we enforce applicable local and federal laws we keep our streets, children, and manamko safe Monitor Businesses to ensure consumer rights are kept fair Service Victims Litigate on behalf of the government agencies, boards, and commissions The ADA prohibits discrimination based on an individual's disability; it is a civil rights law. The ADA was amended in 2009, and greatly broadened the definition of disability. Title I applies to the workplace, and ensures that reasonable accommodations are made for employees. Title II applies to state and local governments,including GovGuam. It applies to a number of governmental functions, including structural and architectural modifications, effective communication for people with vision, hearing, and speech impairments, If you require accommodations, please contact your supervisor or the ADA Coordinator. OAG Wellness Program Executive Order 2009-08 The Government of Guam is the first U.S. Government to allow employees administrative leave for health and wellness activities. If employees enroll, then 1 hour of administrative leave per day for up to 3 days on a full work week is allotted. It cannot be transferred or carried over, nor can you spread the one hour intervals between days.
